WELCOME TO HILLEL AT USC!
Welcome to Hillel at the University of South Carolina. We are a student group that gives Jewish students at USC the opportunity to interact and feel part of a Jewish society. We have events every week, including Shabbat Dinners. Some of our past events include movie nights, trivia night, dinner and ice cream socials, and our annual Passover Seder. Additionally, Hillel at USC serves to link students with the Jewish community in Columbia at any of the three congregations in the city.
Regardless of your Jewish background, whether Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, or Cultural, Hillel at USC is a place to socialize with others like you!
Hillel at USC's funding is entirely donation based, and students are not required to pay dues of any kind to participate in Hillel at USC events.
Hillel's mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. Hillel students, faculty, and staff are dedicated to creating a pluralistic, welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish college students, where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially. Hillel helps students find a balance in being distinctively Jewish and universally human by encouraging them to pursue social justice and Jewish learning, and to support Israel and global Jewish peoplehood. Hillel is committed to excellence, innovation, accountability and results.
